Denise Junqueira is admitted to practice law in Brazil (OAB/SP) and New York State.
Her extensive experience includes numerous highly complex mergers and acquisitions, the negotiation of remedies, and multi-jurisdictional transactions across various industries, such as telecommunications, transportation, banking/finance, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and energy.
Denise advises clients on the design and implementation of compliance programs and represents them in investigations regarding anticompetitive conduct, including abuse of dominance and cartels. She also provides counsel on competitor collaborations, the exchange of competitively sensitive information, merger compliance, distribution agreements, and vertical restraints.
Furthermore, Denise Junqueira has experience in trade remedies and representing clients before the Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX). She provides advice on feasibility analyses and risk assessments, as well as on trade remedy investigations involving anti-dumping duties, safeguards, and countervailing duties. She also assists domestic industry members, exporters, importers, and other interested parties in pursuing and defending their interests before CAMEX throughout the investigation process—ranging from drafting petitions to modify or maintain foreign trade tariffs and "Ex-tarifário" (tariff exception) requests to responding to questionnaires from the Undersecretariat for Trade Remedies and Public Interest.
Her international trade experience also encompasses export controls, sanctions, and anti-corruption matters, as well as international trade compliance, advising domestic and foreign clients on complex commercial relationships involving multiple parties and jurisdictions.
Denise serves a diverse range of foreign clients, drawing on five years of experience in the U.S., including positions with the U.S. government (FTC), academia (NYU Law School), law firms, and consultancies.
