Maíra Isabel Saldanha Rodrigues practices across various areas of antitrust law, including merger control, the design and implementation of antitrust compliance programs, and investigations into anticompetitive conduct. Her experience encompasses highly complex M&A cases, the negotiation of remedies, and multijurisdictional transactions across diverse industries—such as chemicals, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and energy—advising clients on matters including competitor collaborations, the exchange of competitively sensitive information, merger compliance, distribution agreements, and vertical restraints. Maíra also handles and provides counsel on a wide range of trade defense investigations, such as anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, and safeguard proceedings. Her expertise enables her to assist producers, importers, and exporters in pursuing and defending their interests before the Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX), participating in every stage of the investigation—from drafting petitions to modify or maintain foreign trade tariffs and "Ex-tarifário" (tariff exception) requests to responding to questionnaires from the Undersecretariat for Trade Defense and Public Interest. Her international trade experience also extends to export controls, sanctions, and anti-corruption matters, as well as international trade compliance.
